- Search yourself on AI. Ask ChatGPT, Claude and Google: "best [your service] near [your city]." Note if you show up and if the details are right.
- Claim your Google Business Profile. Fill in every field: hours, services, photos and booking link. AI tools read it.
- Match your name, address and phone everywhere. Google, Yelp, Facebook, Apple Maps and your website should say exactly the same thing.
- Set up Bing Webmaster Tools. ChatGPT pulls a lot from Bing, and most owners skip this.
- Add a questions page. Answer the questions customers really ask, in their words.
- Add hidden business labels (schema). They tell AI what you are, where you are and what you charge.
- Let AI tools read your site. Check that your site isn't blocking AI crawlers by accident.
- Get fresh reviews. AI trusts businesses with recent, real reviews. Ask every happy client.
- Keep your site fast and phone friendly. Slow, broken pages get skipped.
- Check again every month. AI answers change. Repeat step 1 monthly.
